Within the environment of
a steel mill—surrounded by the heat or cold, dirt, and controlled
insanity—laughter is priceless. I worked in the mills for over thirty years.
During that time I kept a journal and jotted down notes about the laughs that
helped me and others to get through an eight or sixteen hour shift. I have now
expanded that journal into a book entitled Sketches In A Steel Mill. With this
book, my endeavor is to reward the reader with humor while I describe what it is
like to work inside of the walls. |
